Yulia Semenova is a Russian pianist, accompanist and singer coach. Yulia was born in 1986 in Leningrad, Russia. She got her first professional piano education by Irina Avramkova in Saint-Petersburg’s musical school “Sviridov”.

During “Summit Music Festival” 2005 in New York she met Vadim Monastirsky, who is a mentor for Yulia to this day. At his invitation she moved to Israel, where under his supervision over the next six years she improved her skills and graduated from Bachelor and Master Solo Performance at Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.

During these years she was working in Jerusalem “Magnificat” as a piano teacher (by the method of Emma Spitkovsky) and as a permanent Accompanist for Yasmeen Choir, with which she toured Italy, Hungary and Palestine.

Yulia was introduced the world of Opera by singer coach Sofia Mazar (New Israeli Opera). Their constant contact always produces creative professional results. In 2015 Yulia was invited to the "International master classes IMVA", Jerusalem, where she worked as a principal accompanist with Gustavo Porta, Olga Makarina (Soloist Metropolitan Opera), Barak Tal and others.

Yulia has graduated Opera Coaching and Song Accompaniment (with Semjon Skigin) and Song Interpretation (with Wolfram Rieger) from Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin. She takes lessons with Irina Vasil'eva (Saint-Petersburg's Conservatory) and takes part in master classes, such as "Belcanto Course" by Peter Berne, "Hanns Eisler's Songs" by Eric Schneider, vocal master classes by Olga Makarina, Leonardo Andreotti etc.

Yulia works with numerous singers. She can be regularly heard on different stages as a duo partner on concerts (Dvoràk-Marathon, Konzerthaus Berlin 2013), (Gerard Bahar Centre, Jerusalem 2015) and vocal competitions, such as 6th International Competition of Opera singers “Saint-Petersburg” 2014 (Johannes Grau, Tenor), State Competition “Jugend Musiziert”, Germany (Isabelle Nahrstedt, Soprano), "Žamboki Competition of vocal arts" (Mishkenot Sha'ananim, Jerusalem 2015) etc.

Yulia is musical coach and accompanist to “Neue Szenen” Tischlerei in Deutsche Oper Berlin. She is regularly sought for vocal and scenic lessons by Professors of Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler (Berlin).
Together with her duo partner singer Gina May Walter (London), she has won VIII International competition "Three centuries of classic romance" (2016, 3d Price)
